1. Payment of allowance for secondary burial expenses of Marine Corps personnel may be made by the disbursing officer direct to the undertaker or to the person who has paid the undertaker upon receipt of bill showing the total expenses incurred, and certified as follows:

This certificate must be signed with the autographic signature of the person to whom the authorized allowance is to be paid. When payment is to be made direct to the undertaker, the person who procured the services must also certify that the services were rendered as stated and that payment to the undertaker is desired. When payment is to be made to the person who procured the services, the receipted bill signed

2. Form NAVMC 817-SD (Information for Next of Kin Regarding Expenses in Connection with the Preparation, Encasement, Transportation, and Burial of the Remains of Marine Corps Dead), which is forwarded to the next of kin by Headquarters, Marine Corps, contains the necessary information regarding burial allowances, and prescribes the procedure for obtaining such allowances.

c. When orders are received for an officer who is absent from his permanent station on temporary duty or in a hospital, or on leave of absence, or on sick leave, which relieve him from duty at his permanent station, during or at the termination of his absence, unless the officer or his authorized agent files a request to the contrary.

d. When public quarters occupied by an officer under temporary assignment are required for assignment to another entitled to such public quarters in accordance with specific assignments previously designated. When necessary to dispossess an officer within the provisions of this paragraph the junior officer in such status will be the one to be dispossessed.

1. Normally, married enlisted personnel will be assigned public quarters with the following precedence: pay grade E-7, pay grade E-6, pay grade E-5 and pay grade E4 (with 7 or more years' service). Within the above categories they shall be assigned in accordance with precedence in date of reporting for duty at the post or station. Should the commanding officer consider it to be to the best interest of the post or station, and after full consideration of the nature of the duties to which the individual enlisted personnel will be assigned, he may assign precedence to such enlisted personnel of the above mentioned pay grades whom he considers most essential to be quartered on the post or station. Such assignment when once made will be permanent during the period these enlisted

e. When requested by an officer because of a change of his status with regard to dependents.

f. Termination of joint occupancy as provided in subparagraph 8 above.

g. When temporary duty is completed and the officer is detached from the station.
