I am half afraid that the public have had enough of them already, and I have only been tempted to republish them by the representations of my Publisher. The fact that "OUR SOCIAL BEES "-a work somewhat similar in scope to the present volume-has already reached a sixth edition, indicates, he tells me, that I have not yet exhausted the public patience.
