Venus is in the constellation Pisces during February, and arrives at its greatest easterly elongation on the 25th of the month. It is very favourably situated for observation, and is an excellent object for the transit instrument, passing the meridian from the 1st to the 15th at five minutes past 3 in the afternoon.
