Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. The Lord is my strength and my shield; for the word of the Lord is right; all his works are done in truth. O fear the Lord, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him. O taste and see that the Lord is good. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God? Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord. All they that see me laugh me to scorn; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head. But be not thou far from me, O Lord; O my strength, haste thee to help me. For in thee, O Lord, do I hope; thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; ma-ny shall see it and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? The fool had said in his heart, There is no God. Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. In God will I praise his word; in the Lord will I praise his word. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. For thou art my hope, O Lord God; thou art my trust from my youth. Cast me not off in the time of old age. O God, be not far from me. O my God, make haste for my help. O God, thou hast taught me from my youth. For there are no bands in their death; but their strength is firm. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may de-clare all thy works. Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. Bow down thine ear, O Lord, and hear me for I am poor and needy. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: I will beat down his foes be-fore his face, and plague them that hate him. Thou hast also turn-ed the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the bat-tle. Sing un-to the Lord with the harp, with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. I will sing un-to the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have my be-ing. Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts? That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise. Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord; he is their help and their shield. He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great. The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have plea-sure therein. He hath given meat unto them that fear him. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my paths. I hate vain thoughts, but thy law do I love. Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe. It is time for thee, Lord, to work; for they have made void thy law. Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judg-ment help me. My soul hath long dwelt with him that hat-eth peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war. |
