I will teftify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

8 I will not reprove thee for thy facrifices, or thy burntofferings to have been contige-nually before me.

PSALM L.

HE mighty God, even the Lord hath spoken, and called the earth, from the rifing of the fun unto the going down thereof.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath fhined.

3 Our God fhall come, and fhall not keep filence: a fire fhall devour before him, and it shall be very tempeftuous round about him.

4 He fhall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

5 Gather my faints together unto me: thofe that have made a covenant with me by facrifice.

6 And the heavens fhall declare his righteoufnefs: for God is judge himself. Selah.

7 Hear, O my people, and I will fpeak; O Ifrael, and

9 I will take no bullock out of thy houfe, nor he-goats out of thy folds.

10 For every beaft of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

II I know all the fowls of the mountains and the wild beafts of the field are mine,

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer unto God thankfgiving, and pay thy vows unto the most High.

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

16 But unto the wicked God faith, What haft thou to do to declare my ftatutes, or that thou shouldeft take my covenant in thy mouth?

17 Seeing thou hatest inftruction, and. cafteft my words behind thee.

evil in thy fight: that thou mightest be juftified when thou fpeakeft, and be clear when thou judgeft.

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in fin did my mother conceive me.

6 Behold, thou defireft 21 Thefe things haft thou truth in the inward parts: done, and I kept filence: thou and in the hidden part thou thoughteft that I was altoge-fhalt make me to know wifther fuch an one as thyfelf: dom. but I will reprove thee, and fet them in order before thine eyes.

22 Now confider this, ye that forget God, left I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Whofo offereth praise, glorifieth me; and to him that ordereth his converfation aright, will I fhew the falvation of God.

PSALM LI.

AVE mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my tranfgreffions.

2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my fin.

3 For I acknowledge my tranfgreffions and my fin is ever before me.

4 Against thee, thee only have I finned, and done this

7 Purge me with hyffop, and I fhall be clean: walh and I fhall be whiter than me,

8 Make me to hear joy and gladnefs: that the bones. which thou haft broken may rejoice.

9 Hide thy face from my fins; and blot out all mine iniquities.

io Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

II Caft me not away from thy prefence; and take not thy holy fpirit from me.

12 Reftore unto me the joy of thy falvation: and uphold me with thy free fpirit.

13 Then will I teach transgreffors thy ways, and finners fhall be converted unto thee.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltinefs, O God, thou God of my falvation: and my tongue fhall fing aloud of thy righteousness.

15 O Lord,

15 O Lord, open thou my lips, and my mouth fhall fhew forth thy praife.

16 For thou defireft not facrifice, elfe would I give it: thou delighteft not in burntoffering.

17 The facrifices of God are a broken fpirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not defpife.

5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath fcattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee, thou haft put them to fhame, because God hath despised them.

PSALM LIII.

HE fool hath faid in his heart, There is no God; corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did feek God.

3 Every one of them is gone back, they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no not

one.

PSALM LVII.

E merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me, for my foul trufteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

2 I will cry unto God moft high: unto God that performeth all things for me.

3 He fhall fend from heaven, and fave me from the reproach of him that would fwallow me up; Selah. God fhall fend forth his mercy and his truth.

5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. 6 They have prepared a net for my fteps, my foul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midft whereof they are fallen themfelves. Selah.

7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will fing and give praise.

8 Awake up my glory, awake pfaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

9 I will praife thee, O Lord, among the people: I will fing unto thee among

the nations.

10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

4 They only consult to caft him down from his excellency, they delight in lies: they blefs with their mouth, but they curfe inwardly. Selah.

5 My foul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from him.

6 He only is my rock and my falvation; he is my defence; I fhall not be moved.

7 In God is my falvation. and my glory: the rock of my ftrength, and my refuge is in God.

8 Truft in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie to be Olaid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

II Be thou exalted, God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

PSALM LXII. RULY my foul waitGod: from him cometh my falvation. 2 He only is my rock and my falvation: he is my defence; I fhall not be greatly moved.
