INCE the publication of the brochure on the subject of Local Museums (Museums be it always remembered for the purpose of illustrating the Mineral, Vegetable, and Animal Kingdoms within a radius of five miles from the Parish Church) the. various modes in which a Local Museum may be originated and established have been carefully considered. The result is a recommendation of the following simple, inexpensive, and, it is hoped, practical plan for the commencement of a Local Museum :

1. The inhabitants of a parish who feel disposed to establish a Local Museum to form themselves into a Museum Committee, with or without Sub-Committees.

2. The Committee to elect from among themselves a Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, and Museum Superintendent; the Treasurer to take charge of subscriptions and to pay expenses out of them; the Honorary Secretary to keep records of the proceedings of the Committee; and the Museum Superintendent to distribute Museum papers and labels, and to keep a catalogue of objects belonging to the Museum, such catalogue being made from the list of objects kept by each Museum Collector.

3. The Committee to invite Parishioners of all classes to take part in the formation of the Local Museum, by offering their services as Museum Col
