Eight terminal facilities serve the chemical works of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., 3 of which are at Deepwater Point, 3 at Thompson Point, and 2 at the Grasselli Plant of the company at Paulsboro. The main wharf, a carfloat bridge, and a passenger landing at Deepwater Point are described in the table covering piers, wharves, and docks under Ref. Nos. 9 to 11; the Thompson Point car float bridge, the acid wharf, and the main wharf are shown under Ref. The General Chemical Co. operates a large pier at Claymont for receiving and shipping chemicals, details of which are given under Ref. No. 16. The Scott Paper Co. has 4 wharves at Chester, 2 of which are used for receiving wood pulp, 1 for receiving coal, and the other as a tie up for company boats (Ref. Nos. 35-36 and 38-39).
