Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, and upon them that put their trust in his mercy.

Prevent us, O Lord, in all our doings, with thy most gracious favour, and further us with thy continual help; that in all our works this year, begun, continued, and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally by thy mercy obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Collect for the Circumcision, being that of the Day.

Almighty God, who madest thy blessed Son to be circumcised, and obedient to the law for man; Grant us the true Circumcision of the Spirit; that our hearts, and all our members, being mortified from all worldly and carnal lusts, we may in all things obey thy blessed will; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God, whose righteousness is like the strong mountains, and thy judgments like the great deep; Teach us so to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. O God, who, through the preaching of the blessed Apostle St. Paul, hast caused the light of the Gospel to shine throughout the world; Grant, we beseech thee, that we, having his wonderful conversion in remembrance, may show forth our thankfulness unto thee for the same, by following the holy doctrine which he taught; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
