In recent times, several infectious and zoonotic diseases have emerged as major threats to the health of people and animals globally, resulting in suffering and death of human and animals. The One Health Manual, an initiative of Malaysia One Health University Network (MyOHUN), is the first local Manual to deal with zooneses outbreak investigation based on the One Health concept which is a multidisciplinary collaboration among a myriad of disciplines. This Manual will be a good resource for existing and future One Health workforce.

About the author (2017)

The One Health Manual was prepared by a multidisciplinary team of professionals lead by Professor Dr Abdul Rashid Khan as its Chief Editor. Prof Dr Abdul Rashid Khan is the Deputy Dean of Post Graduate Affairs and International Relations in Penang Medical Centre in Malaysia. He is also the Head of the Department of Public Health Medicine.

Assisting Prof Dr Abdul Rashid were Dr Andrew Kiyu, Consultant epidemiologist in Sarawak Health Department; Dr Khebir bin Verasahib, Public Health Physician and Director in National Public Health Laboratory; Associate Professor Dr Rukman Awang Hamat, Clinical Microbiologist in Universiti Putra Malaysia; Dr Ramlan bin Mohamad, Chief Deputy Director in Department of Veterinary Services; Assoc Prof. Dr Razitasham Safii of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Dr Moniza Waheed of Universiti Putra Malaysia and Dr Rosnah Ismail of UKM.
