value of the blessings you receive from Heaven, a reflecting mind cannot be too earnest in supplicating to obtain them. The exercise of occasional devotion will enliven your mind, strengthen your fortitude, and animate your hopes.

Regard with reverence the comprehensive and conscientious religious principles, which have been carefully instilled in your mind, so pure in its doctrines, irreproachable in its order, and beautiful in its form.

Observe the value of regularity in your Deportinent, and recollect what you may suffer from the neglect of it.

THE following observations are of the utmost importance; and was I to omit them, my instructions would be very imperfect, as to your conduct in the station in which you are placed.

The first incentive for adopting regularity in the management of your

time, is to be impressed with a just sense of its value. Consider well how much depends upon it, and how fleeting is the possession.

I most particularly recommend the observance of uniformity in the whole of your deportment. Be assured it is more nearly connected with virtue than many persons imagine. It is an important part of that discretion which should regulate your conduct through life.

You will avoid many errors and inconveniences in your domestic establishment, by adopting a regular

E

system and a determined adherence to it. You will find it a source of numberless advantages; it will have considerable influence on your happiness, being materially conducive to peace and comfort.

First, let there be a stated hour for rising, and for meals.

Appropriate

a certain portion of time for every office, as well as for the business and recreations of each member of your household.

If

you mean to preserve a consistent line of conduct through life, you must allot to every transaction its proper

place and season. When the proper time is omitted, the performance becomes troublesome at some future period.

Particularly attend to system in the conducting of your affairs-the management of your pecuniary concerns, the regulations of your amusements, and the selection of your society.

There can be no prudent economy in your household concerns, without a regular method of conducting them. You will find economy a material assistance in all the private and domestic virtues.
