Mr. WILEY, from the Committee on the Judiciary, submitted the

REPORT

[To accompany H. R. 4452)

The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the bill (H. R. 4452), for the relief of Douglas L. Craig, having considered the same, do now report the bill to the Senate favorably, without amendment, and recommend that the bill do pass.

The purpose of the proposed legislation is to pay the sum of $3,200 to Douglas L. Craig, of San Clemente, Calif., in full settlement of all claims against the United States for personal injuries sustained as a result of an accident involving an Army vehicle on the highway between Livermore and San Francisco, Calif., on March 4, 1944.

STATEMENT

The facts are fully set forth in House Report No. 1477, Eightieth Congress, second session, and need not be reprinted here.

The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the bill (H. R. 4518) for the relief of Gerald S. Furman, having considered the same, do now report the bill to the Senate favorably, without amendment, and recommend that the bill do pass.

The purpose of the proposed legislation is to pay the sum of $97.23 to Gerald S. Furman, of Plainfield, N. J., in full settlement of all claims against the United States for expenses incurred in reporting to the St. Louis Medical Department procurement district, St. Louis, Mo., as a consultant of the War Department, on October 26, 1942.
