The following is the final report on an Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) test performed for NSF International (NSF) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by Cartwright, Olsen & Associates, LLC (COA) in cooperation with Osmonics, Inc.
Page iii - A goal of verification testing is to enhance and facilitate the acceptance of small package drinking water treatment equipment by state drinking water regulatory officials and consulting engineers while reducing the need for testing of equipment at each location where the equipment's use is contemplated. NSF will meet this goal by working with manufacturers and NSF-qualified Field Testing Organizations (FTO) to conduct verification testing under the approved protocols.

Page 28 - Following data entry, the spreadsheet was printed out and the printout was checked against the handwritten data sheet. Any corrections were noted on the hard copies and corrected on the screen, and then a corrected version of the spreadsheet was printed out. Each step of the verification process was initialed by the field testing operator or engineer performing the entry or verification step.

ETV was created to substantially accelerate the entrance of new environmental technologies into the domestic and international marketplace.
