Most of the Travels worthy of preservation are here reprinted; many volumes of high price such as Pococke and Shaw's Travels, are given almost entire. Translations of many important Travels not before known in the English language are likewise intermingled; besides small treatises, objects of research among the curious and exceedingly scarce. The same collection in the originals could not be procured at a less cost than three or four hundred pounds; and some of them probably not at any price.
