4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the Alefh, but after the Spirit.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be fpiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity againft God: for it is not fubject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flefh, but in the Spirit, if fo be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Chrift, he is none of his.

10 And if Chrift be in you, the body is dead because of fin, but the Spirit is life because of righteoufnefs. II But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jefus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Chrift from the

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh to liye after the flesh.

13¶ For if ye live after the ffefh, ye fhall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye fhall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the fons of God.

15 For ye have not received the fpirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witnefs with our fpirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Chrift: if fo be that we fuffer with him, that we may be alfo glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the fufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which fhall be revealed in us.

19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifeftation of the fons of God.

20 For the creature was made

made fubject to vanity, not willingly, but by reafon of him who hath fubjected the fame in hope,

for the faints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

21 Because the creature itself alfo fhall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious li-29 For whom he did foreberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourfelves alfo, which have the firft-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourfelves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are faved by hope. But hope that is feen is not hope for what a man feeth why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we fee not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit alfo helpeth our infirmities. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh interceffion for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that fearcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh interceffion

know, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firft-born among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predeftinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he alfo juftified: and whom he juftified, them he alfo glorified.

31 What shall we then fay to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that fpared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how fhall he not with him alfo freely give us all things?

33 Who fhall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that juftifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Chrift that died, yea, rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who alfo maketh interceffion for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or diftrefs, or perfecution, or famine, or

CHAP. XII.

Befeech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye prefent your bodies a living facrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

3 For I fay, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think fo

dealt to every man the meafure of faith,

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the fame office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 ¶ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophefy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or miniftry, let us wait on our miniftering; or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with fimplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that fheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 Let love be without diffimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

CORINTHIANS.

CHAP. III.

ND Ibrethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Chrift.

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto were ye not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3¶For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and ftrife, and divifions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

9 For we are labourers
together with God: ye are
God's hufbandry, ye are
God's building.

10 According to the grace of God whh is given unto me, as a wite mafter builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

II For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jefus Chrift.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, filver, precious ftones, wood, hay, ftubble;

13 Every man's work fhall be made manifeft. For the day thall declare it, becaufe it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire fhall try every man's work of what fort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he fhall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work fhall be burned, he shall suffer lofs; but he himself shall be saved; yet fo as by fire. 16 Khow ye not that ve are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the

God deftroy: for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you feemeth to be wife in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wife.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He' taketh the wife in their own craftiness.

20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wife that they are vain.

21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things prefent, or things to come; all are your's;

23 And ye are Chrift's; and Chrift is God's.
