HELD AT MASONIC HALL,

IN THE CITY OF DETROIT, JANUARY 15 AND 16, A. I. 2408, A. D. 1878.

FIRST DAY.

Ths Twenty-Ninth Annual Grand Convocation of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, of the State of Michigan, was opened in Due and Ample Form, in the City of Detroit, on Tuesday 15th January, 1878, at 12 o'clock, noon.

The Grand Secretary proceeded to call the roll of Subordinate Chapters, and it appearing that a constitutional number were represented, the further calling of the roll was dispensed with, and the Grand High Priest, assisted by the proper Officers proceeded to open the Grand Chapter in Due and Ample Form; the Grand Chaplain offering up prayer to the Supreme Ruler of the Universe, after which the Grand High Priest declared the Grand Chapter duly opened, and ready for the transaction of any business lawfully to come before it.

CREDENTIALS.

The Grand High Priest appointed the following Companions as a Committee on Credentials:

On motion the Grand Chapter adjourned until 2:30 P. M.

FIRST DAY-AFTERNOON SESSION-2:30 O'CLOCK.

The Grand Chapter was called from refreshment to labor, and a constitutional number of representatives having answered to their names, the Grand High Priest declared the Grand Chapter opened and ready for business.

Companion Saxby, Chairman of the Committee on Credentials, submitted their report of Officers and Members entitled to seats in the Grand Chapter, as follows:
