a The wicked watcheth the righteous, and feeketh to lay him: but the Lord will not leave him in his Hand. God will hide him from the fecret Counsel of the wicked; and will deliver him from unreasonable and wicked Men, which have not Faith.

b Remember, I pray thee, Who ever perifhed, being innocent? Or, Where were the righteous cut off?

c Whofo keepeth the Commandment, fhall feel no evil thing.

d The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of Temptations: And God is faithful, who will not fuffer them to be tempted above what they are able; but will, with the Temptation, alfo, make a Way to escape, that they may be able to bear it.

e Set your Hearts unto all the Words of this Law, which is fet before you: For it is not a vain thing for you, because it is your Life, and through this thing ye fhall prolong your Days.

Keep therefore, and do them; for this is your Wisdom, and your Understanding. And, happy is the Man that findeth Wisdom: For Length of Days is in her right Hand, and in her left Hand Riches and Honour. Her Ways are Ways of Pleasantnefs, and all her Paths are Peace.

: g If thou shalt keep the Commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his Ways; the Lord fhall open unto thee his good Treasure,

and bless all the Work of thine Hand. The Lord will make thee plenteous in every Work of thine Hand, for good. The Lord will rejoice over thee for good.

a Bleffed fhalt thou be when thou comeft in, and bleffed.fhalt thou be when thou goeft out: For the Lord fhall guide thee on every fide.

b Thou shalt make thy Prayer unto him, and he fhall hear thee. Thou shalt alfo decree a thing, and it fhall be established unto thee; and the Light fhall fhine, upon thy Ways.

The Bleffing of the Lord, it maketh rich; and he addeth no Sorrow with it.

d The juft Man walketh in his Integrity: his Children are bleffed after him. The Generation of the upright fhall be bleffed.

e Let not Mercy and Truth forfake thee: Bind them about thy Neck, write them upon the Table of thine Heart: So fhalt thou find Favour, and good Understanding, in the Sight of God and Man.

f The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom: A good Understanding have all they that do his Commandments; and unto the upright there arifeth Light in the Darkness.

8 The righteous fhall hold on his Way, and be ftronger and ftronger: And they that love the Lord, fhall be as the Sun, when he goeth forth in his Might.

h Mark the perfect Man, and behold the upright: For the end of that Man is Peace.

The Work of Righteoufnefs fhall be Peace, and the Effect of Righteousness, Quietness and Affurance for ever.

b The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the Soul: The Teftimony of the Lord is fure, making wife the fimple. The Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the Heart: The Commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightning the Eyes. The Judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether: More to be defired are they than Gold, yea, than much fine Gold; fweeter alfo than Honey, and the Honeycomb; and in keeping of them there is great Reward.

In the multitude of my Thoughts within me, thy Comforts, O Lord, delight my Soul: For, thou fhalt guide me with thy Counsel, and afterwards receive me to Glory.

d A good Man fhall be fatisfied from himself. For his rejoicing is this, The Teftimony of his Confcience, that in Simplicity, and godly Sincerity, he hath had his Conversation in the World.

e He fhall not much remember the Days of his Life: because God anfwereth him in the Joy of his Heart.

f He fhall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him, and he shall fee his Face with Joy.

8 Happy is that People, whofe God is the Lord: For the Lord taketh Pleasure in his

People: And they fhall be fatisfied with his Goodness.

They hall take Delight in approaching to God; and rejoice in his Salvation: For his Loving-kindness is better than Life.

b Ye are my Friends (faith Chrift) if ye do whatfoever I command you: And, if any Man ferve me, him will my Father honour.

c Having Peace with God, through our Lord Jefus Chrift, we rejoice in the Hope of the Glory of God.

a We know, that if our earthly House of this Tabernacle were diffolved, we have a Building of God, an House not made with Hands, eternal in the Heavens: For which Cause we faint not; but tho' our outward Man perifh, yet the inward Man is renewed Day by Day: And, tho' the World paffeth away, and the Luft thereof; nevertheless we, according to the Promife of God, look for new Heavens, and a new Earth, wherein dwelleth Righteousness.

e Henceforth there is laid up for those that have kept the Faith, fought a good Fight, and finished their Courfe, a Crown of Righteoufnefs, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, fhall give unto them at his appearing. Wherefore com fort one another with thefe Words.

away from the Evil to come: and their Works do follow them.

aAnd, when the time of the Dead is come, that they should be judged; thou, O Lord God Almighty, wilt give Reward unto thy Servants the Prophets, and to the Saints, and them that fear thy Name, small and great.

Then fhall the righteous fhine forth as the Sun, in the Kingdom of their Father; and they that be wife fhall fhine as the Brightness of the Firmament, and they that turn many to Righteousness, as the Stars for ever and ever.

Jefus, who is gone to prepare a Place for his Difciples, that love him, and keep his Commandments, will come again, and receive them unto himself, that where he is, there may they be alfo; and may behold his Glory, which the Father hath given him.

d The Spirits of juft Men fhall be made perfect. And they fhall fee God; and fhall ever be with the Lord.

e Now we fee through a Glass darkly; but then Face to Face: now we know in part; but then fhall we know, even as also we are known.

The ranfomed of the Lord fhall come to Zion, with Songs and everlafting Joy upon their Heads: They fhall obtain Joy and Gladness; and Sorrow and Sighing fhall flee away.

g Their Inheritance fhall be for ever: And they shall receive a Crown of Glory, that fadeth not away.
