World, or with the Covetous, or Extortioners, or with Idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the World: But I have written unto you, not to keep company, if any Man that is called a Brother be a Fornicator, or Covetous, an Idolater, or a Railer, or a Drunkard, or an Extortioner; with such a one, no not to eat.

b Withdraw your selves from every Brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the Tradition which he received of us.

CHAP. IX. Concerning the PERFECTION

of HOLINESS.

The Perfection of a Christian confifts in using his utmost Endeavours to perform, witb Sincerity and Žeal, the whole will of God; to grow in Grace, and excel in all manner of Virtue ; and to persovere in the Ways of Piety and Holiness, to the End of his Life.

UNIVERSAL OBEDIENCE.

Bhor that which is Evil; cleave to that

which is good. Cleanse your felves from all Filthiness both of Flesh and Spirit, perfecting Holiness in the Fear of God.

6 Lay apart all Filthiness, and Superfuity of Naughtinels : And, keep your selves unspotted from the World.

c Whatever is an Abomination to the Lord thy God thou shalt utterly detest, and thou shalt utterly abhor it: For it is a cursed thing.

d Let thine Eyes look right on, and let thine Eye-lids look streight before thee: Ponder the Path of thy Feet, and let all thy Ways be established: Turn not to the right Hand, nor to the left: Remove thy Foot from Evil.
