Wizard, or a Necromancer: For all that do these things, are an Abomination unto the Lord.

a There shall be no more any vain Vision;" nor Lying, or flattering Divination.

b The Prophet, which fhall prefume to speak a Word in my Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the Name of other Gods, even that Prophet shall die, faith the Lord

c Woe unto the foolish Prophets, that follow their own Spirit, and have seen nothing; that prophely, out of their own Hearts, to flay the Souls that fhould not die, and to fave the Souls alive that should not live; who with Lies have made the Heart of the righteous fad, whom the Lord hath not made fad, and strengthen'd the Hands of the wicked, that he fhould not return from his wicked way, by promifing him Life.

FAITH.

d Have Faith in God: For, without Faith, it is impoffible to please him.

He that cometh to God, muft believe that he is; and that he is a Rewarder of them that diligently feek him.

And this is his Commandment, that we fhould believe on the Name of his Son Jefus Chrift; who, himself, bath thus faid unto us; Ye believe in God, believe alfo in me: For, he

that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my Words, hath one that judgeth him: The Word that I have spoken, the fame fhall judge him in the laft Day.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh; for, if they escaped not who refufed him that spake on Earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from Heaven.

b Believe in the Lord your God, fo fhall ye be eftablished: Believe his Prophets, fo fhall ye profper Believe on the Lord Jefus Chrift, and ye fhall be faved. For, according to your Faith, fo will it be unto you.

c Chrift was manifeft in these last Times, for us, who, by him, do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, in whom, tho' now we fee him not, yet believing, we rejoice with Joy unspeakable.

d Faith is the Subftance of Things hoped for,. the Evidence of Things not feen. So then, we walk by Faith, and not by Sight, while we look not at the Things which are feen, but at the Things which are not feen: For the Things which are feen, are temporal; but the Things which are not feen, are eternal.

e We have respect unto the Recompence of the Reward; being fully perfuaded, that what God hath promifed, he is able alfo to perform:

We have not yet received the Promifes, but having feen them afar off, we are perfuaded of them, and embrace them, and confefs that we

are Strangers, and Pilgrims, on the Earth; and we feek and defire a better Countrey, that is a heavenly; and we look for a City, which hath Foundations, whofe Builder and Maker is God.

a Except ye fee Signs and Wonders, ye will not believe; but bleffed are they that have not feen, and yet have believed.

b Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God; but the Word preached doth not profit, if it be not mixed with Faith, in them that hear it.

c Thou believeft that there is one God; thou doft well: The Devils alfo believe, and tremble: But know, O vain Man, that as the Body without the Spirit is dead, fo Faith without Works is dead alfo.

d A Man is juftified by Faith in Chrift; but Faith, which worketh by Love; for by Works Faith is made perfect. And they only fhall be efteemed Saints, that keep the Commandments of God, and the Faith of Jefus.

Add therefore to your Faith Virtue; for if while we feek to be juftified by Chrift, we are found Sinners, our Faith cannot fave us.

f Lord, we believe, help thou our Unbelief; and increase our Faith; that we may be in the number of them that believe, to the faving of the Soul.

a With the Heart Man believeth unto Profeffion. Righteousness, and with the Mouth

Confeffion is made unto Salvation.

b Be not ashamed of the Teftimony of our Lord. Whofoever fhall confefs me before Men, (faith our Lord and Saviour Jefus Chrift) him will I confefs also before my Father, which is in Heaven: But, whofoever shall deny me before Men, him will I alfo deny before my Father, which is in Heaven. And whofoever fhall be afhamed of me, and of my Words, in this finful Generation; of him alfo fhall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he cometh in the Glory of his Father, with the Holy Angels.

If we deny him, his Name, or his Faith, he alfo will deny us.

a Many Deceivers are entred into the World, who confefs not that Jefus Chrift is come in the Flesh. There are likewife certain ungodly Men, who turn the Grace of God into Lafciviousness, and deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Je fus Chrift.

e Every Spirit that confeffeth not that Jefus Chrift is come in the Flefh, is not of God.

f Whofoever denieth the Son, the fame hath not the Father: and he fhall not fee Life; but the Wrath of God abideth on him.

8 They that profefs that they know God, but in Works deny him, are abominable.

Trust. a Who is among you that feareth the Lord? Let him trust in the Name of the Lord, and stay upon his God..

b Truft in the Lord with all thine Heart; truft in him at all times. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he fhall direct thy Paths. Commit thy Works unto the Lord, and thy Thoughts fhall be established. Commit thy way unto him, truft alfo in him, and he fhall bring it to pass.

My Soul, wait thou only upon God, for my Expectation is from him. The Lord is my Portion, faith my Soul, therefore will I hope in him. He is my ftrong Habitation, whereunto I may continually refort..

d Wait on the Lord; be of good Courage, and he shall strengthen thine Heart, who is the Confidence of all the ends of the Earth, and of them that are afar off upon the Sea.

e Judgment is before him, therefore truft thou in him.

f Caft thy Burthen upon the Lord, and he shall fuftain thee.

8 Be careful for nothing, cafting all your Care upon God; for he careth for you.

h Take no thought for your Life, faying, what fhall we eat? or what fhall we drink? or wherewithal fhall we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all thefe things.
