a Behold, what manner of Love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called, the Sons of God; and if Sons, then Heirs, Heirs of God, and Joint-Heirs with Christ. Now are we the Sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know, that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is; and with open Face beholding, as in a Glass, the Glory of the Lord, shall be changed into the fame Image, from Glory to Glory.

o All things are to be counted but Loss, and Dung, that we may win Christ: for to die, and to be with Christ, is Gain.

cWho shall separate us from the Love of God? Thall Tribulation, or Distress, or Persecution, or Famine, or Nakedness, or Peril, or Sword ? nay, in all these things we are more than Conquerors, through him that loved us : so that neither Death, nor Life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor Height, nor Depth, nor any other Creature, shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

a Ask now of the Days that are past, which were before thee, since the Day that God created Man upon the Earth; and ask from the one fide of the Heaven to the other, Whether there hath been any fuch thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it.

6 Seeing then that all these things were for our fakes, what manner of Men ought we to be, in al holy Conversation, and Godlinefs ? For if we fin wilfully, after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, and turn away from him that speaketh from Heaven, there remaineth no more Sacrifice for Sins; but a certain fearful looking for of Judgment, and fiery Indignation.
