FELLOWSHIP IN CARBOHYDRATES A sum of $5,000 has been made available to the council for the establishment and maintenance for one year of a fellowship for research in the chemistry di carbohydrates. This fellowship is administered by a special committee appointed by the executive board of the National Research Council and operating under the division of chemistry and chemical technology. In accepting the appropriatic the council has reserved the right to publish, without restriction, the resul obtained under this fellowship, which has been awarded to Dr. Julian K. FELLOWSHIPS ADMINISTERED IN COOPERATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS NATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT The national fellowhips in child development are awarded by the Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial upon the advice and recommendation of the committee on child development of the division of anthropology and psychology. The fellowhip funds are disbursed by the memorial. The fellowships are open to women college graduates of the United States and Canada who have had training in sciences basic to the study of child development. Applicants with advanced degrees or practical experience, other things being equal, are given preference.
