For the Rolls Series, see No. 539. The object of the following index is to make the contents of the Chronicles and Memorials more accessible to students, and to facilitate the handling of the volumes, especially in libraries like that of the British Museum, where the volumes are arranged on the shelves in the order of their publication. The numerals in bold-faced type refer to the numbers of the works as they are listed in the official catalogue of the Rolls Series (No. 539), and as they are arranged in the reading room of the British Museum. The other numerals refer to the numbered titles in the body of the present work.
