Statement of functions: The Advisory Committee for Biology and Medicine provides general guidance in policy matters relating to health and safety and in research areas relating to radiological health standards. This Committee has also provided general guidance on broad programs in biological research conducted by the Commission under the Division of Biomedical and Environmental Research and aimed at determining effects of radiation on populations, individuals, and various components of the environment. From time to time the Committee has provided advice in areas related to workmen's compensation, record keeping, health and longevity studies in atomic workers, etc. 8. Committee reports: None.` 9.
