CHAPTER I-OFFICE OF DEFENSE MOBILIZATION NOTE 1: Executive Order 10480 of August 14, 1953 (3 CFR, 1953 Supp.) provides in part as follows: "The Director of the Office of Defense Mobilization shall, on behalf of the President, coordinate all mobilization activities of the executive branch of the Government, including all such activities relating to production, procurement, manpower, stabilization, and transport. Every officer and agency of the Government having functions under the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended, delegated, redelegated, or otherwise assigned thereto by or under the authority of the President after the date of this order (whether heretofore or hereafter acquired, or acquired by this order) shall perform the said functions subject to the direction and control of the Director of the Office of Defense Mobilization."
