1873.-MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTIONS FROM OTHER COUNTIES.— It is proposed from time to time to insert exact copies of monumental inscriptions from other counties, more or less connected with Gloucestershire; and contributions of such, accurately tran scribed, will be gladly received. The following may be taken as fair samples of what are desired.

Near this place | are interred the remains of John Windham, | of this Parish, Esq., | youngest son of Thomas Windham, of Clearwell, in the County of Gloucester, Esq', who died on the 26 of April, 1763, in the 37th year of his age. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Dalton, of the County of Lincoln, Esq., by whom he left issue one son and two daughters, George, Charlotte, & Sophia. | Elizabeth, his wife, departed this life | the 19th January, 1785, aged 58 years.
