There are eleven different forms of mortgage information which
should be submitted. The definitions for the new forms "G"
through "H" are roughly equivalent to forms "A" through "E".
The information on the "G,H,I,J, and K" form describe activity
for one year inclusively and A,B,C,D, and E describe bank total
mortgage activity. Form 1 (13a) sets forth the deposit data in
exactly the same format as last year.

All the information requested on Form 1 and Forms A through K is to be submitted to this office on computer readable magnetic tape in a prescribed format which will be forwarded to the following data processing centers and institutions which handled their own data processing:

If any data must be manually assigned to a census tract or zip
code and bank personnel are unfamiliar with these areas, the
following directories may be obtained:

For census tract information the Boston Standard
Metropolitan Statistical Area, contact the Research
Division of United Community Services of Boston,

For zip code information contact your post office for a Zip Code Directory. Note that many larger cities and towns have more than one zip code area within their boundaries. A bank will not be considered in compliance with the requirements of this directive if data is supplied only in summary form for multi-zip coded cities and towns.

For Boston and Lynn, data required by census tract should total that provided by zip code.

Last year there was some confusion concerning the proper clas-
sification of loans in condominium properties.
This year
mortgages on condominium should be included in forms A through
E in whatever category they were placed in last year if they
were given before July 11, 1975. New conventional mortgages
on condominiums should be included on form G if the structure
in which the condominium is located has only four or fewer units,
form I for all other conventional mortgages, and form H for
those with federally-insured mortgages.

"Average Interest Rate" on any aggregation of loans should be computed as the ratio of the sum of the interest rates on all such loans to the total number of loans, unweighted as to dollar amount thereof.

"Average Loan to Value Ratio" on any aggregation of loans should be computed as the ratio of the total mortgage dollars granted to the total appraised value of the properties on which these loans were granted.

The brackets signify those census tracts which are to be submitted in
aggregates. Note that 708, 709, 710, 711 and 712 are to be submitted in
disaggregated form under this directive. Note also that additional census
tracts have been added for the city of Lynn which, like Boston, is to
be submitted.
