changes in the AAP requested by the authorized officer.

(b) The authorized officer may request that lessees and the holders of other Federal authorizations participate in studies or surveys relating to the effectiveness of the efforts to assure non-discrimination against MBE's and WBE's in OCS mineral activities. When requested by the Director, lessees and holders of other Federal authorizations shall make all requested information available to the authorized officer, within 30 days of their receipt of the request for information, unless, for good cause, the authorized officer grants a longer time for compliance.

(c) The Office of Inspector General (OIG) will, on a periodic basis, verify the accuracy of the annual reports

submitted in accordance with § 35.7(a). When requested by the OIG, the lessee or holder of a Federal authorization shall make all pertinent information available to the OIG in connection with such verification.

NOTE: At 46 FR 14129, Feb. 26, 1981 § 35.7 was suspended in part.

§ 35.8 Enforcement provisions.

In the event a lessee or holder of a Federal authorization fails to comply with any of the provisions or requirements of this rule, or fails without good cause to accomplish any of its goals, the authorized officer may undertake appropriate civil penalty proceedings as provided in section 24(b) of the act and the implementing regulations in 30 CFR 250.80.
