AUSTIN, TEXAS, September 1, 1920.

Dr. John Preston, Superintendent, and the Board of Control, State Lunatic Asylum, Austin, Texas.

DEAR SIRS: In compliance with the law creating the Pasteur Institute and placing it under the management of the State Lunatic Asylum, I submit herewith a report of the work of the Institution.

A tabulated statement of the number of patients treated, with results; amount of money collected from pay patients; the number of suspected heads received for examination and the results of the examinations during the year ending August 31, 1920.

During the year ending August 31, 1920, 385 patients were treated with success in all except one case.

It is very important that the cold storage for the Institution be improved. As it exists it is unsatisfactory and should be corrected. Dr. F. O. Calaway, as assistant, has rendered efficient and valuable service to the Institution.
