AORANGE PEKOE

Tea

What IS Genuine
Orange Pekoe Tea?

IT HAS nothing to do with oranges. "Orange Pekoe" is simply an oriental

term to denote one of the different gradings of tea. And here is the point you should keep in mind when you buy Orange Pekoe-there are three distinct gradings:

Flowery Orange Pekoe (tea of very finest quality)

Broken Orange Pekoe (tea of very choice quality)
Orange Pekoe (tea of average quality)

The first two grades are very much superior to ordinary Orange Pekoe. Ridgways Genuine Orange Pekoe is the finest tea procurable, because it is composed only of the Flowery and Broken Orange Pekoes.

Some teas marked "Orange Pekoe" have a very small proportion of Orange Pekoe. Right there is the value in getting Genuine Orange Pekoe.

The way to make sure of Genuine Orange Pekoe, without any doubt about it, is to insist firmly upon Ridgways Genuine Orange Pekoe. Then you are certain to enjoy the superb flavor, the exquisite bouquet you should rightfully expect in this superior tea. Order definitely by name and insist upon getting it-Ridgways GOLD LABEL Genuine Orange Pekoe. Send coupon for a generous sample of "The Finest Tea the World Produces"

THE round, red-hot stove in the country store-what an altar of Wisdom it was! How often have the destinies of man been settled by its side!

And if the destinies refuse to stay settled; if, in clubs and homes, the ancient debates still are carried on, at least there is this much progress

the debates may still be heated, but the rooms are not. They're warmed.

THE IDEAL TYPE A HEAT MACHINE does what the old stove never could. It fills the whole house with healthful hot-water warmth, and pays for itself in the fuel it saves.

A Floor of Captive Sunlight

What can you find more appropriate for a sun parlor than a flooring which holds in itself the airy, golden spirit of sunlight? Maple, varnished, gives you such color. For cheerful lightness, it is ideal, whether used in a home, hotel, apartment, or luxuriously appointed club house.

And yet, this is only one of Maple's virtues. It is the wood which outwears stone. Tough of fibre, tight of grain, it leads the list in resisting the rigorous service in hallways and servants' quarters, kitchens, schools, offices, churches, industrial and public buildings.

For Color-BEECH AND BIRCH Add the ruddy tinge of sunset to Maple's sunlit color, and you have the richer tone of Beech and Birch. Besides their natural beauty, these floorings will also take and retain a variety of stains, and meet any need of color harmony or service.

Maple, Beech and Birch floorings-all three-are manufactured from the slowgrowth, climate-hardened timber of Michigan and Wisconsin, and guaranteed in grade and quality by the trademark MFMA.

"Color Harmony in Floors" -is the title of a book, just off the press, which will open delightful new decorative possibilities to you. Ask your lumber dealer for a copy, or let us send you one with our compliments.

One of the most remarkable offers in the history of the publishing business
THE WORKS OF

GEORGE MEREDITH

FIFTEEN-DOLLAR EDITION

In seventeen volumes. Sold only in sets

The opportunity to purchase a complete set of the novels and poems of GEORGE MEREDITH for the low price of fifteen dollars seems almost incredible. The fact that these volumes conform to the high standard of bookmaking from which Charles Scribner's Sons never deviate makes the offer the more remarkable. The text is printed in clear, legible type on paper of good quality. The superficial size of each volume is 4% by 7% inches, with a thickness of approximately three-quarters of an inch. The books are attractively bound in light blue vellum.

Mr. Meredith's heirs and Charles Scribner's Sons have long felt the need for a genuinely popular edition of the writings of "the crown of the Victorian era"-one which, without any sacrifice of quality, would bring his works within the range of any purse. This fifteen-dollar edition is the result. It will make an admirable gift.
