Most gracious God, who upholdest and governest all things in heaven and earth; we humbly beseech thee to protect thy servant GEORGE our King from all the dangers to which be exposed. Let thy wisdom may be his guide, and let thine arm strengthen him. Let justice, truth, and holiness; let peace and love, and all those virtues that adorn the Christian Profession, flourish in his days. Direct all his counsels and endeavours to thy glory, and the welfare of his people. And give us grace to obey him cheerfully and willingly for conscience sake; that neither our sinful passions, nor our private in

terests, may disappoint his cares for the public good. Let him always possess the hearts of his people, that they may never be wanting in honour to his Person, and dutiful submission to his Authority. Let his Reign be long and prosperous; and crown him with immortality in the life to come, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

SUNDAY EVENING.

BLESSED be thou, Lord God of Israel, for ever and ever. Thine, O Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty for all that is in the heaven and in the earth, is thine: thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all, and in thine hand is power and might, and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. They that know thy character and perfections, will put their trust in thee; for thou, Lord, hast never failed them that seek thee.

We humbly beseech thee to forgive whatever thou hast seen amiss in us and our services, this day. If thou, Lord, shouldst mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee; that thou mayest be feared.

Almighty God, who hast given thine only Son to be unto us both a sacrifice for sin, and also an example of godly life; give us grace, that we may always most thankfully receive

Most gracious God, who shewest to them that be in error, the light of thy truth, to the intent that they may return into the way of righteousness; grant unto all them that are admitted into the fellowship of Christ's Religion, that they may avoid those things that are contrary to their profession, and follow all such things as are agreeable to the same, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us, this day, our

daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that tres
