officer shall receive, as a compensation for such services, the sum of three dollars per day, for each day he may be so employed, or may be necessarily travelling in the discharge of said duty, to be paid out of the state treasury upon the certificate of the governor as to such appointment, and the affidavit of such officer to the correctness of the account.

SEC. 56. The commander-in-chief and the major-generals shall be, and are hereby, constituted a military board for the purpose of determining and settling any disputes or controversies which may arise between officers of equal rank, in relation to their commands; and the decision of said board shall be final upon the subject.

SEC. 1.
