EXPLANATION OF LANGUAGE This proposed supplemental request is required to provide financial assistance on favorable terms to victims of recent natural disasters, primarily the earthquake in southern California, for rehabilitation of damaged or destroyed property. Preliminary estimates by the Office of Emergency Planning indicate a probable $242 million loan program. |
