I. Ancient Craft Masons.-Add 4000 to the current year, thus: A. D. 1908+4000=A.*. L.'. (Anno Lucis-year of light) 5908.

2. Royal Arch Masons.-Add 530 to the current year, thus: A. D. 1908+530=A. . I.'. (Anno Inventionis-year of discovery) 2308.

3. Royal and Select Masters.-Add 1000 to the current year, thus: A. D. 1908+-1000 A. Dep. (Anno Depositionis-year of deposit) 2908.

4. Knights Templar.-Subtract 1118 from the current year, thus: A. D. 1908-1118=A. O. (Anno Ordinis-year of the Order) 790.

The fiftieth annual assembly of the Grand Council Royal and Select Masters of Michigan was called to order at 7:30 o'clock P. M. May 18, 1908, in Masonic Temple, in the city of Detroit. M. I. Grand Master Frank O. Gilbert presiding.

The Grand Recorder reporting that there were a constitutional number of Councils represented, the Grand Council was opened in AMPLE FORM by the M. I. Grand Master, with prayer by the Grand Chaplain.
