Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 700, 77th Cong., 2d sess.) Levee.
Funds are required for the preparation of
plans and specifications and for construc-
tion of the project which, when completed,
will afford flood protection to Elkport
against Elk Creek and Turkey River floods.
Baldhill Reservoir, N. Dak.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(S. Doc. 193, 78th Cong., 2d sess.). Earth
fill dam located on Sheyenne River 16 miles
upstream from Valley City, N. Dak.
Funds are required to complete the prepa-
ration of plans and specifications and for
the construction of the project, which will
provide a substantial degree of flood con-
trol, pollution abatement benefits, and
adequate water supply for the section of the
Sheyenne River below the dam and in the
valley of the Red River of the North.
Red Lake River, Minn., including Clearwater
River, Minn...

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 345, 78th Cong., 1st sess.). Chan-
nel rectification and modification of existing
control works at the outlet of lower Red
Lake. Funds are required for the comple-
tion of plans and specifications and for con-
struction of the project works which, when
completed, will provide substantial flood
benefits along the Red Lake and Clearwater
Rivers.

Park River Reservoir, N. Dak.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(S. Doc. 194, 78th Cong., 2d sess.). Earth-
fill dam located on South Branch of Park
River 4 miles upstream from Park River,
N. Dak. Funds are required for the com-
pletion of plans and specifications and for
the construction of the project which, when
completed, will provide flood-control bene-
fits in the Park River Basin and low-water
flow regulation in the reach of the South
Branch of Park River from the dam to
Grafton, N. Dak.

Missouri River levees, Sioux City, Iowa, to the
mouth.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act.
Enlargement of existing levees and con-
struction of new levees along the Missouri
River between Sioux City, Iowa, and the
mouth. Funds are required for the con-
tinuation of advance planning and for the
construction of the initial units in this series
of levee district improvements. The proj-
ect units when completed will afford flood-
protection against Missouri River floods to
extensive areas of agricultural lands.
Chariton River, Mo.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act (H. Doc. 628, 78th Cong., 2d sess.). Levees and channel improvement. Funds are required for the initiation of construction of the Macon-Adair Counties unit. The improvements when completed will afford protection to agricultural lands, railroads, and highways.

Denison, Iowa.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act (H. Doc. 254, 78th Cong., 1st sess.). Levees and appurtenant works. Funds are required for construction of the project which, when completed, will afford essential protection to Denison against Boyer River floods.

with provision for facilities for future power
generation on the American River. Funds
are required for the continuation of prepara-
tion of plans and specifications and for the
initiation of construction. The reservoir,
when completed, will be operated for flood
control on the lower American River and in
the Sacramento Valley and for the genera-
tion of power and for related water uses.
Sevier River near Redmond, Utah.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 614, 78th Cong., 2d sess.). Leveed
channel and diversion works. Funds are
required for the construction of this project,
which will afford flood protection to adja-
cent agricultural lands and to Redmond.

and appurtenant works. Funds are re-
quired for continuation of plans and speci-

be operated for flood protection in the lower

ation of the preparation of plans and speci-

Basin and for irrigation storage.

The remaining work consists of construction of a pumping plant and miscellaneous itens. Funds are required for completion of the project, which will provide protection for 2,271 acres.

Lookout Point Reservoir, Oreg....

Authorized in the 1938 Flood Control
Act. Earth-fill dam and appurtenant
works located on Middle Fork of William-
ette River 20 miles southeast of Eugene,
Oreg. Funds are required to initiate con-
struction of the projects, of which the first
features are highway and railroad reloca-
tions. The project, when completed, will
be operated as a unit in the coordinated
reservoir system to protect the Williamette
Valley from floods and for other purposes.
Milton-Freewater, Wash..

Authorized in the 1941 Flood Control
Act (H. Doc. 719, 76th Cong., 3d sess.).
Revetted levees and channel improve-
ment. Funds are required for construc-
tion of these improvements which, when
completed, will provide protection for the
towns of Milton and Freewater and for
other low-lying areas in the Walla Walla
River Valley from Milton, Oreg., to the
mouth of Mill Creek.
Malheur improvement district near Weiser,
Snake River, Idaho.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 452, 77th Cong., 1st sess.). Bank
protection. Funds are required for the con-
struction of this improvement, which will
protect agricultural land in the Malheur
improvement district from bank erosion and
a major threatened channel change.
Heise-Roberts area, Snake River, Idaho.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 452, 77th Cong., 1st sess.). Chan-
nel improvement and levee construction.
Funds are required for the completion of
plans and specifications and for the initia-
tion of construction. The project works,
when completed, will afford protection to an
intensively cultivated area of irrigated lands
along the Snake River.

Colfax, Wash.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 888, 77th Cong., 2d sess.). Levees,
flood walls, revetments, and channel recti-
fication. Funds are required for the con-
struction of the project which, when com-
pleted, will afford flood protection to Col-
fax together with 6 railroad and 13 highway
bridges.
Pullman, Wash.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 888, 77th Cong., 2d sess.). Levees,
revetment work, channel rectification, and
raising an existing flood wall. Funds are
required for the construction of these im-
provements to provide flood protection for
Pullman against floods on the South Fork
of the Palouse River.
Chehalis River Basin, Wash.

Authorized in the 1944 Flood Control Act
(H. Doc. 494, 78th Cong., 2d sess.). Levees,
embankment modifications, flood walls,
and pumping plants. Funds are required
for the construction of these improvements,
which will afford protection to Hoquiam,
Aberdeen, and Cosmopolis.
