Eldest surviving son of the late Weston Yonge, Esq., by Mary, dau. of N. Bond, Esq., of co. Carmarthen, S. Wales; b. 1823; s. 1849; m. 1848 Frances, dau. of N. Cave, Esq., of Barbados, W. Indies. Educated at St. John's Coll., Cambridge (B.A. 1845); ordained 1846; appointed Curate of Bolas Magna, co. Salop, 1855; was formerly Curate of Broughton, co. Stafford, and of Lyde and Ullingswick, co. Hereford. This is one of the oldest families of Staffordshire, and traces its pedigree direct from Reginald of Chavernes, who was Dominus de Chavernes" about A.D. 1100-1150. -Charnes Hall, near Eccleshall, Staffordshire. Eldest son of the late Lieutenant-Colonel Sir William Young, Bart., by Lucy, dau. of Lieutenant-Colonel Frederick; b. 1807; s. 1848; m. 1835 Adelaide Annabella, dau. of Edward Tuite Dalton, Esq., step-dau. to the 2nd Marquis of Headfort. Educated at Eton and Corpus Christi Coll., Oxford (B.A. 1829); is a Barrister-at-Law; is a Magistrate and Dep. Lieut. for co. Cavan; was M.P. for co. Cavan 1831-55; has been successively a Lord of the Treasury 1841, Secretary of the Treasury 1844, and Chief Secretary for Ireland 1852-5, Lord High Commissioner of the Ionian Islands 1855-9. This is a junior branch of the family of Lougheske, co. Donegal, which has now assumed the name of Brooke: a cadet of the Youngs, long settled at Auldbar, in Angus, emigrated to Ireland in the 16th century, and one of his descendants acquired Lougheske by marriage with an heiress, Miss Knox.-Baillieborough Castle, co. Cavan, Ireland.
