Requirement: The Department of Justice shall submit a report to the Congress at the end of each fiscal year listing the names of all those youth upon whom the President shall have conferred either a medal for bravery or a medal for character and service. This letter report should include information on the deeds for which the youth were honored. Abstract: This report is made in a letter from the Attorney General to the Speaker of the House and Vice President; it gives the results of selection procedure by the Young American Medals (YAM) Committee, and announces the selection of medal winners, the date of White House presentation, and those attending.

Requirement: In April of each year, the Attorney General shall transmit to the Administrative Office of the United States Courts and to the Congress a report detailing, for the preceding calendar year, the total number of applications made for orders and extensions of orders approving electronic surveillance and the total number of such orders and extensions either granted, modified, or denied. Requirement: The Attorney General shall conduct such studies and surveys as he deems necessary to evaluate the needs, feasibility, and effectiveness of the United States trustee system. He shall report the results of such studies and surveys to the Congress, the President, and the Judicial Conference of the United States beginning January 3, 1980, and annually thereafter. Requirement: During the fiscal year for which appropriations are authorized, the Attorney General shall transmit a report to each House of the Congress in which he determines that the Department of Justice will contest or will refrain from defending any provision of law enacted by the Congress in any proceeding before any court of the United States or any administrative proceeding because of the Department's position that such provision of law is not constitutional. The report shall be transmitted not later than 30 days after the Attorney General establishes the policy or makes the determination.

Requirement: The Attorney General shall submit to the Congress, the Senate Select Committee on Small Business, and the President, not less than once every year, reports setting forth the results of surveys of any activity of the federal government which may affect small business. Abstract: The surveys provide information on factors that tend to eliminate competition, create or strengthen monopolies, promote undue concentration of economic power, or otherwise injure small business. Requirement: The Attorney General shall submit to the Congress and to the President, at least once every 6 months, a report on the impact of voluntary agreements and plans of action implementing the allocation and information provisions of the international energy program and the availability of immunity from the antitrust laws with respect to the development or carrying out of such agreements or plans on competition and on small business. Abstract: This report details the efforts of the Department of Justice to monitor the participation of United States oil companies in the Voluntary Agreement and Plan of Action to implement the information and emergency oil sharing systems created by the Agreement on an International Energy Program (IEP), and coordinated by the International Energy Agency (IEA).

Requirement: The Attorney General shall submit to the Congress and to the President at least once every year a report describing the results of studies of voluntary agreements for preparedness programs or expansion of production capacity and supply under the Defense Production Act of 1950 conducted for the purpose of determining any factors which may tend to eliminate competition, create or strengthen monopolies, injure small business, or otherwise promote undue concentration of economic power in the course of the administration of the program. Abstract: The report contains a review of the activities occurring as a result of each of the agreements.

Requirement: Within 6 months after the end of the fiscal year, the Secretary of the Interior shall submit to the Congress a report on the leasing and production of coal lands; a summary of management, supervision, and enforcement activities; and recommendations to the Congress for improvements in management, environmental safeguards, and amount of production in leasing and mining operations. Each submission shall contain a report by the Attorney General on competition in the coal and energy industries, including an analysis of whether antitrust provisions and laws are effective in preserving or promoting competition in the coal or energy industry. Abstract: The report provides a review of competition in coal and energy industries and analyzes the effect of antitrust laws in preserving or promoting competition. Requirement: The President shall cause a detailed report to be made to the Congress on January 1 of each year of all proceedings under the Trading with the Enemy Act, as amended, during the preceding year. Abstract: This report provides information on the disposal, administration, or liquidation of enemy property seized in the United States during World War II under the authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act. The report contains specific information on the policies and programs of the Department of Justice with regard to alien property. It contains information on the value of vested property; vested property accounts; the administration and liquidation of vested property, including estates, trusts, and insurance contracts; patents and copyrights; disposition of vested properties, including suits and other judicial proceedings, and administrative claims; satellite assets program under Public Law 285; the organization of the department administering the program; finances and accounting; and the accountant's report. Requirement: Not later than 12 months after the effective date and annually thereafter, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Board and the Attorney General shall make reports to the Congress concerning their functions with regard to electronic fund transfers. The report of the Attorney General shall contain an analysis of the impact of fund transfers on the operation, workload, and efficiency of the federal courts. Abstract: This report contains analyses of the impact of fund transfers on the operation, workload, and efficiency of the federal courts regarding electronic fund transfer.
