Requirement: In conjunction with the annual report required by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall submit to the Congress a report on the rehabilitation loan program. Such report shall include a summary of the use of funds for community and neighborhood development and conservation, particularly with regard to the types of neighborhoods and persons aided and an evaluation of progress made toward community development goals. As soon as feasible, but not later than December 1, 1979, the Secretary shall submit to Congress an interim report evaluating the use of funds for multifamily properties, with legislative recommendations for improving the overall effectiveness of federal assistance for the rehabilitation of multifamily properties. Abstract: This report on the Section 312 Program includes an overview of program funding and loan characteristics, an analysis of program beneficiaries, and an assessment of program accomplishments. The report also presents an examination of important management issues such as loan delinquency and effectiveness of local administration.

Abstract: The quarterly Reduction-in-Force (RIF) report provides statistical data by regional/field office the total number of employees who have separated as a result of RIF procedures. Data are also reflected on projected separations, lateral reassignments, RIF notices received, downgrades and rehires of minorities and women. All reporting categories are broken down by professional, administrative, technical and clerical occupations, and by grade-level groupings. Bureaus also report on the number of requests for early-out authorization for retirements and the total number of employees who have been furloughed.
