TABLE I.-REVISED TITLES

The following table represents a title of the United States Code that has been revised and renumbered since adoption of the Code in 1926. This table shows where a former section of the revised title has been incorporated in this edition of the Code.

Showing where sections of the Revised Statutes of the United States of 1878 will be found in this edition of the United States Code.

Abbreviations

Rep.-Repealed. Where "Rep." appears in the status column following a U.S.C. reference an explanation of the repeal can be found under such U.S.C. title and section. Where no U.S.C. reference appears the Rev. St. section was repealed prior to the adoption of the United States Code (1926) or for other reasons was not included in the Code but was subsequently repealed.

Rev. T.-Revised Title. Where "Rev. T." appears in the status column the U.S.C. reference is to title and section where the Rev. St. section was origi. nally allocated in the U.S.C. To locate the Rev. St. section in the U.S.C. new title, see Revised Titles Table.

Elim.-Eliminated. Where "Elim." appears in the status column following a U.S.C. reference the reason for the elimination of the text can be found under such U.S.C. title and section.

I.R.C. '39.-Internal Revenue Code of 1939. Where "I.R.C. '39" appears in the status column, it is an indication that the provision was repealed or otherwise superseded by the Internal Revenue Code of 1939.

Abbreviations

Rep.-Repealed. Where "Rep." appears in the status column following a U.S.C. reference, an explanation of the repeal can be found under such U.S.C. title and section.

Rev. T.-Revised Title. Where "Rev. T." appears in the status column, the U.S.C. reference is to title and section where the section of the Act of Congress was originally allocated in the U.S.C. To locate the section of the Act in the U.S.C. revised title, see the tables (Pages 12583 to 12638 of Volume 11 of U.S.C., 1970 ed., and page 535 of this supplement).

Elim. Eliminated. Where "Elim." appears in the status column following a U.S.C. reference, the reason for the elimination of the text can be found under such U.S.C. title and section.

Exec.-Executed. Where "Exec." appears in the status column, it is an indication that the provisions are directory and that Codification changes in the text of various sections have been made in the Code as a result of such directions. I.R.C. '39.—Internal Revenue Code of 1939. Where "I.R.C. '39" appears in the status column, it is an indication that the provision was repealed or otherwise superseded by the Internal Revenue Code of 1939.
