B. 264) AN ACT to further promote temperance and suppress the evils of intemperance, and to restrict the consumption of spiritous, vinous, malted, fermented, or other intoxicating liquors, in this state, or other liquors, bitters and drinks, that are prohibited by the laws of this state to be sold, bartered, or otherwise disposed of; to prevent shipments into the state, and the delivery herein for unlawful purposes of said liquors, bitters and drinks, from points or places without this state, also to prevent shipments of the same from one point or locality in this state to any other point or locality within this state; and to prevent the delivery of liquors to fictitious consignees, or to others contrary to the terms and conditions prescribed by this act, and at certain times and on certain days, and to certain persons; to require persons or corporations transporting or delivering such liquors, bitters and drinks, to file statements with the circuit clerk in regard thereto; requiring the keeping of certain records in reference to shipments from without the state, and prescribing the persons that may have access to such records; preventing the handling of drafts, bills of exchange

Chapter or orders to pay money, accompanying bills of lading or other instruments for the defined liquors; prescribing certain facts that shall constitute prima facie evidence that certain liquors are received or had in possession for sale, contrary to law, or for other unlawful dispositon thereof; restricting the quantity respectively of liquors of defined kinds that may be received or possessed, or had in possession at one time, or within the period of fifteen consecutive days; prohibiting the deliveries of liquors in defined cases to others than personal consignees; prohibiting the storage or possession of said liquors, bitters and drinks at defined places, in order to prevent evasion of the law against sale of or barter of such liquors; the prevention of having or maintaining warehouses or places for receiving, storing, and distribution of liquors, bitters and drinks or the storage or distribution, or receipt on consignment, thereof for other persons; forbidding the solicitation or taking of orders for the liquors defined in this act, whether to be shipped into this state from outside the state, or from one point in the state to another point therein; prohibiting the storage of liquors, bitters and drinks in lockers, or other places in any social club or fraternal organization for use therein, or carrying liquor thereto or keeping the same therein, for use; prohibiting the keeping or maintaining of unlawful drinking places as defined by the act, which drinking places are made nuisances and are authorized to be abated by writ of injunction out of a court of equity, and providing for the forfeiting of the charter of any incorporated club or association violating the law against keeping or maintaining said drinking places; regulating procedure and fixing punishment and penalties; and for other purposes as detailed in the act, all for the purpose of promoting temperance and for aiding in the better enforcement of the laws for the suppression of the traffic in defined liquors within this state.......
