Today we will be hearing from the three consumer agencies that fall within the jurisdiction of the subcommittee. First we will receive the testimony of Mrs. Virginia Knauer, the President's Special Assistant for Consumer Affairs, who will discuss a budget request of $1,488,000, an increase of $23,000 above the amount provided last year.
