AN ACT authorizing the town of Ackerman, Mississippi, to borrow a

sum of money not exceeding ten thousand dollars, for the purpose of

repairing and improving the water and light plant of said mu-

nicipality and purchasing machinery for same, and to issue the loan

warrants, or notes of said town, in payment thereof.

Chap. 390 (H. B. 954)..

AN ACT authorizing the city of Bay St. Louis, Hancock county, Mis-

sissippi, to issue public improvement bonds in the sum of fifteen

thousand dollars ($15,000.00), or so much thereof as may be neces-

sary for the purpose of constructing sea walls or other necessary

beach protection and to levy taxes to pay said bonds and interest.

Chap. 391 (H. B. 1004).

AN ACT to authorize the board of trustees of the Bogue Chitto Con-

solidated High School of Lincoln county to borrow forty-five hundred

dollars ($4,500.00) or so much thereof, as may be necessary to be

used only in paying for material and the deficit in the teachers'

salaries and authorizing the board of supervisors of Lincoln county

to make a special levy on all personal and real property within the

Bogue Chitto Consolidated School district sufficient to liquidate

within three years.

AN ACT to empower the municipality of Booneville to contract for and

to advance the costs of establishing a fire equipment in and for the

fire district in said municipality, and to lay and collect special

levies for the repaying of such advancement.

AN ACT to authorize the city of Clarksdale, in Coahoma county, Mis-

sissippi, to invest in bonds and securities, and to provide means for

AN ACT to authorize the commissioners of the city of Clarksdale, Mis-

sissippi, to make an appropriation to the Clarksdale Hospital of

Clarksdale, Mississippi, for the purpose of maintaining a hospital in

the city of Clarksdale, Coahoma county, Mississippi.

AN ACT authorizing the city of Cleveland, Mississippi, to issue bonds

for the purpose of procuring the Delta State Teachers' College.

AN ACT to authorize the city of Columbus to pay out of the city treasury

AN ACT authorizing and empowering the mayor and board of aldermen

of Durant, Holmes county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to transfer

from the electrict light fund to the bond and coupon fund of said

town, the sum of five thousand dollars, or as much thereof as they

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and board of aldermen of the town of

Duck Hill to transfer $2,662.68 school bond fund which existed prior

to the creation of a special school district to general town fund.

Chap. 400 (H. B. 983).

AN ACT authorizing the city of Greenville, Mississippi, to issue bonds

for the purpose of procuring the Delta State Teachers' College.

Chap. 401 (H. B. 507).

AN ACT authorizing the city of Greenwood, to make donation for re-

modeling, repairing or erecting buildings for the King's Daughters

Hospital at Greenwood.

Chap. 402 (S. B. 552).

AN ACT to authorize the city of Greenwood to pay the Greenwood Bank

& Trust Company, the sum of $475.00, for money advanced the

trustees to pay S. L. McGinnis, contractor, for work done in finish-

ing the construction of the North Greenwood High School.

Chap. 403 (H. B. 509).

AN ACT authorizing the city of Greenwood to contribute to the support

and maintenance of the King's Daughters Hospital of Greenwood.

AN ACT to authorize the city of Gulfport, through its mayor and board

of commissioners in their discretion, to appropriate the sum of two

thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) for the maintenance and

dredging of the harbor of Gulfport.

Chap. 405 (H. B. 71).

AN ACT authorizing the city of Gulfport, Mississippi, to borrow a sum

of money not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) for the

purpose of paying a deficit in maintaining the public schools in said

city occasioned on account of failure to make the necessary levy, and

to issue its certificates of indebtedness for the same.

AN ACT to authorize the board of trustees of the public schools of the

city of Hattiesburg to transfer a sum of money not to exceed the sum

of $5,000.00 from the general city school fund to a special fund to be

used in furnishing and equipping a cafeteria in the high school of the

city of Hattiesburg.

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and commissioners of the city of Hat-

tiesburg, Mississippi, to transfer certain balances in the municipal

treasury to the bond sinking fund.

Chap. 408 (S. B. 285).

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and commissioners of the city of Hat-

tiesburg, Mississippi, to transfer certain balances in the municipal

treasury to the bond sinking fund, and repealing chapter 327 of the

Chap. 409 (S. B. 1005)....

AN ACT to authorize the board of mayor and commissioners of the city

of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to expend a sum of money not to exceed

the sum of six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00), out of the cur-

rent city school fund for the purpose of furnishing and equipping a

cafeteria, and furnishing a curtain for the stage in the high school of

said city, and to repeal Senate Bill 270 of the laws of 1924.

Chap. 410 (H. B. 871)..

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and board of aldermen of the town of

Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to buy a fire truck and execute its certificates

of indebtedness therefor.

Chap. 411 (H. B. 473)..

AN ACT to authorize the mayor and board of aldermen of the town of

Hickory, Newton County, Mississippi, to transfer the sum of one

thousand dollars ($1,000.00) from the street fund and place the same to

the credit of the school fund of said town.

Chap. 412 (H. B. 144).

AN ACT authorizing the mayor and board of aldermen of the town of

Houston, Mississippi, to spend seventeen hundred and fifty dollars,

($1,750.00) of street funds to aid in graveling the streets around the

courthouse yard.

Chap. 413 (H. B. 6).

AN ACT authorizing the council of the city of Jackson, Mississippi, to

pay J. G. Kennedy one thousand dollars, A. Saums three hundred and

fifty dollars, and Mrs. G. T. Fortner two hundred and fifty dollars for

damages to their automobiles done by fire truck in the city of Jackson.

Chap. 414 (H. B. 984).

AN ACT to authorize the town of Leland, Mississippi, to issue bonds for

the purpose of procuring the Delta State Teachers' College.

Chap. 415 (H. B. 956).

AN ACT to authorize and empower the trustees of the McComb City

Separate School District, of Pike County, McComb, Mississippi, in their

discretion, to retire, on part pay, such teachers as have taught, or

supervised instruction, in the schools of said district for not less than

twenty years; limiting the amount of funds to be so expended.

Chap. 416 (H. B. 930)....

AN ACT to authorize and empower the trustees of the Meridian Separate

School District, of Lauderdale County, Meridian, Mississippi, in their

discretion to retire, on part pay, such teachers as have taught, or

supervised instruction, in the schools of said district for not less than

twenty-five years; limiting the amount of funds to be so expended.
