AN ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay to T. D. Roberts, the sum of fifty-four and 50/100 dollars for the transportation of children in the Washington school district of said county for which he has not been compensated.

Greene county may pay T. D. Roberts for transporting pupils.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Greene county, said state, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to pay to T. D. Roberts out of the common school fund of said county, the sum of fifty-four and 50/100 dollars ($54.50) for transporting children as per contract for the fourth month of winter term 1921-22 for which he has not been compensated.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 502.

HOUSE BILL No. 361.

AN ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay to J. F. Scroggins one hundred dollars ($100.00) for services rendered as teacher in the Washington School of said county for the fourth month of term 1921-1922 for which service he has not been compensated.

Greene county may pay J. F. Scroggins for teaching.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, be and the same are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to pay J. F. Scroggins the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00) out of the common school fund of said county for services rendered as teacher in the Washington School of said county for the fourth month of winter term 1921-1922 for which services he has not been compensated.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

HOUSE BILL No. 744.

AN ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay Mrs. W. T. McCleod the sum of fifty five dollars ($55.00) for teaching the fifth month Mt. Pisgah School, term 1921-22 for which she has not been compensated.

Greene county may pay Mrs W. T. McCleod for teaching.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered in their discretion to pay Mrs. W. T. McCleod the sum of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) out of the common school funds of said county to compensate her for teaching the fifth month of Mt. Pisgah public school of said county during the term of 1921 and 1922 for which service she has not been compensated.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

HOUSE BILL No. 735.

AN ACT authorizing and empowering the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay to Nathan Brewer, out of the general funds of said county the sum of one hundred, and fifty dollars ($150.00) to reimburse him for the loss of a mare killed on a defective public bridge of said county.

Greene county may pay Nathan Brewer for mare killed on defective bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, be and they are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to pay to Nathan Brewer, out of the general funds of said county, a sum not to exceed one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) to reimburse him for the loss of a mare killed on a defective public bridge of Greene county, Mississippi.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay certain outstanding pay certificates issued by the county superintendent of education of Greene county, Mississippi, on the common school funds of said county for the scholastic years 1921-22 and 1922-23 out of the common school funds or the general county funds of said county, or to levy a special tax for said purpose not to exceed thirty five hundred dollars. ($3,500.00).

Greene county to pay certain outstanding pay certificates issued by superintendent of education.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, be and it is hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to pay out of the common school funds or general county funds of Greene county, Mississippi, any or all outstanding pay certificates issued, by the county superintendent of education of Greene county, Mississippi, on the common school funds of said county, for the scholastic years 1921-22 - 1922-23.

Certificate to be approved by superintendent and audited by chancery clerk.

Sec. 2. That said certificates shall, before being presented to the board of supervisors, be approved by the present county superintendent of education of Greene county, Mississippi, and audited by the chancery clerk of said county.

Levy of 1⁄2 mill may be made under certain conditions.

Sec. 3. That if in the judgment of the board of supervisors of Greene county, Mississippi, there is not, or will not be sufficient funds, in the funds above mentioned available to pay said certificates from the funds available this year, that said board of supervisors be and they are hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to make a special levy of not exceeding 2 mills on the dollar upon the taxable property of said county for the next fiscal year to take up and pay said pay certificates or such of said pay certificates as the county superintendent of education of said county, or the clerk of the chancery court of said county or board of supervisors may find to be a just obligation of said county. Amount to be disbursed under the provisions of this act shall not exceed the sum of thirty-five hundred dollars ($3,500.00).

Sec. 4. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

HOUSE BILL No. 734.

AN ACT authorizing and empowering the board of trustees of Washington Consolidated School District, Greene county, in their discretion, to pay Mrs. J. C. Parker out of the funds of said district the sum of fifty five dollars ($55.00) for teaching the seventh month term, 1921-22. Washington Consolidated School District, Greene county, may pay Mrs. J. C. Parker for teaching.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of trustees of the Washington Consolidated School District, Greene county, Mississippi, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered in their discretion to pay Mrs. J. C. Parker, out of the funds of said school district the sum of fifty-five dollars ($55.00) for teaching the seventh month of term 1921-22, for which service she has not been compensated.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 507.

SENATE BILL NO. 180.

AN ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Grenada county, Mississippi to allow extra compensation to the county auditor for extraordinary services required.

Grenada county may allow extra compensation to county auditor.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of. Grenada county, Mississippi, in their discretion, are hereby authorized and empowered to make extra allowance to the county auditor of said Grenada county for services rendered in making refund of a certain tax levy rescinded and ordered refunded by said board of supervisors. Said compensation not to exceed three per cent of the amount of taxes to be refunded, and said compensation to be allowed by said board of supervisors after the said refund has been practically completed.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Grenada county, Mississippi, in their discretion, to pay Lawson McClendon for the loss of a mule killed by falling through a defective bridge in said county.

Grenada county may pay Lawson McClendon for mule killed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Grenada county, Mississippi, are hereby authorized and empowered in their discretion to pay Lawson McClendon a sum not to exceed $150.00 to reimburse him for the loss of a mule killed by failling through a defective bridge in said county.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

HOUSE BILL No. 376.

AN ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Grenada county to transfer all money in the fish and game fund, and to transfer same to the common school fund of said county to be used in building, repairing and equipping school buildings.

Grenada county to transfer money in fish and game fund to common school fund.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Mississippi, That the board of supervisors of Grenada county, Mississippi, be and the same is hereby authorized to transfer all money in the fish and game fund of said county, and to transfer the said fund to the common school funds of said county of Grenada, the same to be used in building, repairing and equipping school buildings.

Sec. 2. That this act take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
