WATER RESOURCES ACTIVITIES INCLUDE (1) flood damage reduction; (2) conservation and development of ground surface water supplies for municipal, industrial, and agricultural uses; (3) development of recreation facilities; (4) propagation of fish and game; (5) promotion of related forestry, soil conservation, and water- (6) development of hydroelectric power potentialities; (8) abatement and control of stream pollution. After investigation, subsequent acts of Congress authorize initiation and continuation of construction.
