AN ACT, supplemental to an act, entitled 'an act, to divide Hinds county, and to organize a new county out of the same, and for other purposes,' passed February 5, 1828.

SEC. 1. SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi, in General Assembly Courts to convened, That from and after the passage of this act, the Raymond. circuit, county, and probate courts of Hinds county, shall be held in the town of Raymond, in said county.

AN ACT, to alter the times of holding the county courts of Warren county, and for other purposes.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi, in General Assembly Times of convened, That instead of the first Mondays of February, holding co. May, August, and November, the county courts of Warren Warren county, shall hereafter be holden, on the third Mondays in said months, in each and every year.

AN ACT, to amend an act, to amend the several acts relative to the Public Revenue.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi, in General Assembly convened, That in addition to the property subject to taxation, there shall hereafter be assessed, levied and collected, by the assessors and collectors of the proper counties, on all stocks of cattle within this state, belonging to persons resident within the limits of this state, the sum of six and one-fourth cents per head, to be paid by the said collectors into the county treasury, for county purposes, at the time required by law to pay over other county taxes. Approved, February 5, 1829.

AN ACT, to change the mode of appointing Commissioners of
Roads.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the state of Mississippi, in General Assembly convened, That whenever any vacancy shall happen in the board of road commissioners, said board shall report such vacancy to the next county court, whose duty it shall be, to fill such vacancy, any law to the contrary, notwithstanding, and report the same to the said board of road commissioners.
