ANTICIPATED SALARY REDUCTION

Reduction:

Effective October 1, 1976, the maximum salary rate
for NEW mail carrier positions was decreased pursuant
to the 1977 Legislative Appropriations Act. Of the
70 mail carrier positions, approximately two-thirds
are assigned to the two day-shift opertions, and
one-third to the early shift operation. During FY
1978 thirteen positions will be changed from the old
NTE rate of $12,530 to the new lower rate of $9,129
for a total reduction of $44,213; and one position will
be changed to the new rate (early shift) of $10,203
tot a total reduction of $2,327. The total NTE salary
reduction for the fourteen positions at the lower rate
is $46,540.
