THIS TITLE

Title 48-FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATIONS SYSTEM is composed of eight vol-

umes. The chapters in these volumes are arranged as follows: Chapter 1 (parts

1 to 51), chapter 1 (parts 52 to 99), chapter 2 (parts 201 to 299), chapters 3 to

6, chapters 7 to 14, chapters 15 to 28 and chapter 29 to end. The contents of these

volumes represent all current regulations codified under this title of the CFR
as of October 1, 2000.

The first volume, containing chapter 1 (parts 1 to 51), includes an index to

the Federal acquisition regulations.

For this volume, Jonn V. Lilyea was Chief Editor. The Code of Federal Regula-
tions publication program is under the direction of Frances D. McDonald, assisted
by Alomha S. Morris.

The LSA (List of CFR Sections Affected) is designed to lead users of the Code of Federal Regulations to amendatory actions published in the Federal Register. The LSA is issued monthly in cumulative form. Entries indicate the nature of the changes-such as revised, removed, or corrected. $31 per year.

Federal Register Index

The index, covering the contents of the daily Federal Register, is issued monthly in cumulative form. Entries are carried primarily under the names of the issuing agencies. Significant subjects are carried as cross-references.

A finding aid is included in each publication which lists Federal Register page numbers with the date of publication in the Federal Register.
