Redesignation Table No. 1

At 38 FR 32104, Nov. 20, 1973, Parts 281, 285, and 290 of Subchapter F were transferred and redesignated as Parts 1220, 1230, and 1210 respectively into a new Subchapter L.

The following table shows the relationship of the regulations in former Subchapter F to the redesignated parts in the new Subchapter L.

Redesignation Table No. 2

At 40 FR 5620, Feb. 6, 1975, certain sections of Part 72 of Title 42 were transferred and redesignated as Parts 1240 and 1250 in Title 21, Subchapter L.

The following table shows the relationship of the regulations under their assigned section numbers in 42 CFR Part 72 prior to this republication, and their redesignations reflected in 21 CFR Parts 1240 and 1250.

Redesignation Table No. 3

At 41 FR 6896, Feb. 13, 1976, the medical device regulations formerly found under Subchapters A, C, and D of Chapter I, Title 21, were centralized under a new Subchapter H.

Sections dealing exclusively with medical devices are transferred from Parts 3 (§§ 3.49, 3.96), 201 (§§ 201.109, 201.405, 201.410), 328 (§§ 328.3 through 328.35), and 369 (§ 369.30) to Subchapter H. There were some sections under Part 201 (indicated with an asterisk in the conversion table below) that combined medical device regulations with drug regulations. Portions applicable to devices in these sections are recodified under Part 801, and the language in these sections applicable to drugs remains in the existing locations as set out in the cross-referencing document published at 41 FR 6907, Feb. 13, 1976.

The following table shows the relationship of the former CFR section numbers under Subchapters A, C and D to their redesignation reflected in Parts 801 and 809:
