CHAPTER 12. Extraordinary Session 1913. SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 12. A Concurrent Resolution extending thanks to mayor of Jackson, city officials and Jackson board of trade. Tendering thanks to mayor and citizens of Jackson. WHEREAS, The members of the Mississippi legislature were the privileged guests of the Jackson board of trade, mayor and city officials on Friday, the 13th, when delightful courtesies were shown the lawmakers, a joy ride having been provided for each member of this body; and, WHEREAS, The public-spirited citizens of the capital city showed their distinguishing hospitality in providing handsome cars for all; and, WHEREAS, Everything was done by the good people of Jackson and of Clinton, and more especially is credit due the charming dames and maidens of this community, to make the outing one of pleasure for each participant; therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate, the House concurring, That the cordial thanks of the legislature be and it is hereby extended the Jackson board of trade, mayor and city officials and all others, who joined that public-spirited body in giving the solons a good time.
