Let not your heart be trou-bled: ye be-lieve in God, be-lieve also in me. In my Fa-ther's house are ma-ny man-sions: if it were not so, I would
go pre-pare a place for you. And if I go and pre-pare a place for you, I will come again, and re-ceive you un-to my-self; that where I am, there ye may be al-so. And whi-ther I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thom-as saith unto him, Lord, we know not whi-ther thou go-est; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man com-eth unto the Fa-ther but by me.
If ye had known me, ye should have known my Fa-ther al-so: and from hence-forth ye know him,
and have seen him. Phil-ip saith un-to him, Lord, shew us the Fa-ther, and it suf-fi-ceth us. Jesus saith un-to him, Have I been so long time with you, , and yet hast thou not known me, Phil-ip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Fa-ther; and how say-est thou then, Shew us the Fa-ther? Be-liev-est thou not that I am in the Fa-ther, and the Fa-ther in me? The words that I speak un-to you I speak not of my-self, but the Fa-ther that dwell-eth in me; he do-eth the works. Be-lieve me that I am in the Fa-ther, and the Fa-ther in me; or else be-lieve me for the ve-ry works' sake.
Ve-ri-ly, ve-ri-ly, I say un-to you, He that be-liev-eth on me, the works that I do shall he do al-so; and grea-ter works than these shall he do;
shall be in you.
be-cause I go un-to my Fa-ther. And what-so-e-ver ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Fa-ther may be glo-ri-fi-ed in the Son. If
shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my com-mand-ments. And I will pray the Fa-ther, and he shall give a-no-ther Com-fort-er, that he may a-bide with you for ev-er. E-ven the Spir-it of truth; whom the world can not re-ceive, be-cause it se-eth him not, nei-ther know-eth him : but ye know him; for he dwell-eth with you, and
I will not leave
you com-fort-less : I will come to you. Yet a lit-tle while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: be-cause I live, ye shall live al-so.
IV. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Fa-ther, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my com-mand-ments, and keep-eth them, he it is that lov-eth me: and he that lov-eth me shall be lov-ed of my Fa-ther, and I will love him, and will man-i-fest my-self to him. Judas saith un-to him, not Is-car-i-ot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt man-i-fest thy-self un-to us, and not un-to the world ? Je-sus an-swer-ed and said un-to him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Fa-ther will love him, and we will come un-to him, and make our a-bode with him. He that lov-eth me not keep-eth not my sayings : and the word which
hear is not mine, but the Fa-ther's which sent me. These things have I spo-ken un-to you, be-ing yet pre-sent with you.
V. But the Com-fort-er, which is the Ho-ly Ghost, whom the Fa-ther will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your re-mem-brance, what-so-e-ver I have said un-to you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give
. un-to you : not as the world giv-eth, give I un-to you. Let not your heart be trou-bled, nei-ther let it be a-fraid. Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go a-way, and come a-gain un-to you. If ye lov-ed me, ye would re-joice, be-cause I said, I go un-to the Fa-ther : for my Fa-ther is great-er than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Here-af-ter I will not talk much with you; for the prince of this world com-eth, and hath no-thing in me. But that the world may know that I love the Fa-ther, and as the Fa-ther gave me command-ment, e-ven so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
