Unaccompanied housing for permanent party enlisted personnel is not available. The existing 30-year old dining hall doesn't meet current Air Force food handling standards and requires major modification to support full time operations. The existing dining hall will be altered in second phase of construction to provide a composite recreation facility. Recreational and community facilities are not available. The remote sites do not have any support facilities and are located 9 and 15 miles from the nearest small communities. There is not enough land available for the construction required to accommodate the radar transmitter and receiver; nor for the construction at Bangor for the necessary support facilities. IMPACT IF NOT PROVIDED: Because facilities will not be available to house, feed, and support personnel in Bangor nor at the transmitter and receiver sites. Construction of the last two 60 degree sectors will not be able to proceed on a timely manner to meet system IOC dates. FORM A. ESTIMATED ANNUAL COST TO OPERATE THE PROPOSED FACILITY. B.
