Reinforced concrete footings and floor slab, masonry walls, metal roof system with gravel built-up roof, utilities and necessary support. Includes gymnasium, exercise and locker rooms, latrines, sauna, mechanical and storage space.

11. REQUIREMENT: 45,300 SF ADEQUATE: 22,100 SF SUBSTANDARD: PROJECT: Construction of an addition to the existing gymnasium. REQUIREMENT: Two gymnasiums are required to support the Mountain Home AFB athletic programs.

CURRENT SITUATION: The existing gymnasium is overtaxed. The demand for physical fitness activities cannot be met. The one available gym floor cannot satisfy the demand for basketball, volleyball, and both male and female exercise programs. Personnel desiring physical activities normally provided by a gymnasium facility are discouraged from participation. IMPACT IF NOT PROVIDED: Continued limited participation by military personnel in essential physical exercise programs.
